9th Century Chand Baori & Bhangarh Day Trip

Head out of the city for a day trip to one of the largest step-wells in the world, Chand Baori was built to conserve water and provide a respite from the intense heat. Chand Baori is an architectural wonder with 3,500 perfectly symmetrical, narrow steps.

The trip also includes a visit to the mystic medieval town of Bhangarh, built in the late 1500s – this now uninhabited city once teemed with magnificent bazaars, a palace, gardens, temples and bathing pools.

Today Bhangarh is often hailed as one of India's most haunted sites, mornings and late afternoons are a perfect time to visit this deserted city – an amazing setting for photography, meditation and yoga.
